Talking About Building (Plus Free Prizes)

on Tuesday 22nd of October 2013

To gear up for Build 2013 in Belfast, we’ve pulled together 8 short interviews from last year’s event.

Interviewees in our Build videos
At Build 2012 we ambushed these fine folks to talk shop about type, web design, and better ways of working.

We were lucky enough to corner Jeff Veen and Ethan Marcotte, who spoke at the event, as well as a handful of smart folks we spotted in the audience: Josh Nissenboim from Fuzzco (the agency behind last year’s Build identity and all the conference swag); Sarah Parmenter from You Know Who Design; Elliot Jay Stocks of Typekit, 8 Faces and Digest fame; Laura Kalbag (.Net Magazine’s 2013 Brilliant Newcomer of the Year); Robbie Manson from FreeAgent; and Ben Bodien, founder of Neutron Creations.

Now we’ve got 8 video interviews jammed with brainy insights for you to enjoy – everything from the challenges of RWD and tips for better collaboration to the small changes they’ve introduced to improve the way they work.

Win tickets to Build or 12 months of Typecast

We’re proud to be sponsoring Build again this year, and for the first time we have two passes to the week-long event up for grabs in our giveaway.

Two lucky winners will each get one Regular Festival ticket to the conference here in our hometown of Belfast. It’s a big prize worth $600, and the winners will be able to enjoy loads of the quirky and stimulating fringe events plus top-notch talks by this year’s lineup: Frank Chimero, David Cole, Nicole Fenton, Leslie Jensen-Inman, Jason Scott, and Paul Soulellis.

To sweeten the deal, we’re also adding some free Typecast subscriptions to the prize pot. Three people will win a 1-year personal subscription to Typecast worth $300.

To enter the prize draw, just visit the video page and submit your email address. Simple. The deadline for entries is midnight BST on 25 October, so don’t drag your heels. We’ll contact all the winners on Monday the 28th of October.

Good luck and enjoy!
