Test Type On Devices With Mobile Previews

on Wednesday 6th of November 2013

Our newest addition puts Typecast in your pocket to make testing your typography easier.

Exciting news type lovers! You can now view all of your Typecast projects on your mobile. This means that you can quickly:

  • show your designs to others while out and about talking shop; and
  • test the rendering, readability and composition of your type systems on your phone, plus all of the other doodads in your device lab.

View read-only previews on any device

When you sign in from any device, you’ll see a read-only version of your projects list. When you select one, we’ll automatically load a live preview of it – fonts and all! It’s now the fastest way to test how your project type reads and renders across mobile platforms and various viewports.

Broader browser support for better testing

Web type can be one wily foe. What looks crystal clear on one browser might look like a mess on another, so quality checking your typography across the gamut of browsers is crucial. But don’t worry, we’ve got you covered.

Typecast now works in all major browsers, including Firefox and IE! So you can test previews on your mobile device, OS and browser of choice with no problem and catch those nasty rendering issues well before build.

Sign in on your phone right now and tell us what you think.
